Thawing: The best way to thaw Hamachi is in the refrigerator for 24 hours before consumption.
Aged Flavor (Optional): For a deeper, more aged flavor, sprinkle a small amount of coarse salt on the Hamachi, wrap it in paper, and refrigerate for about two hours.
Rinse and Dry: After the aging process (if preferred), rinse the Hamachi under cold running water to remove any excess salt. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
Slicing: Once thawed and prepared, slice the Hamachi into sashimi pieces, and enjoy the smooth, rich texture with your favorite condiments.
Tip: Hamachi pairs perfectly with aged kimchi or wasabi seaweed.
