Because our store sells frozen and perishable food products, customers acknowledge that temperature changes may occur during transit. Products may arrive partially thawed but remain safe to refreeze or consume unless otherwise stated. Unexpected Meal is not responsible for natural changes in product texture or appearance resulting from shipping conditions.
Because we sell frozen and perishable food products, we are unable to accept any product back into inventory once it has been delivered or picked up — for food safety reasons, any item that leaves our facility cannot be resold and must be discarded if returned. For this reason, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds to your original payment method, including in cases where a product is affected by a shipping issue. If your order is damaged, mis-shipped, or thawed due to a shipping delay or carrier error, we will make it right through a reshipment of the affected item(s) or store credit, in accordance with our Refund Policy. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this final sale policy.
Many of our products are prepared in facilities that also process common allergens, including but not limited to soy, wheat, shellfish, and sesame. While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product and ingredient information, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contact with allergens. Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipping addresses are accurate and that someone is available to receive perishable deliveries. Unexpected Meal is not responsible for packages left unattended after delivery.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all contact information provided (including email address and phone number) is accurate and up to date. Unexpected Meal is not responsible for missed order updates or notifications resulting from incorrect or outdated contact information.
If a refund is requested due to a change of mind, order modification, or cancellation after the order has been placed, a fee of 10% of the order total will be deducted to cover processing, administrative, and inventory allocation costs already incurred.
The remaining balance after this deduction may be refunded to your original payment method or issued as Store Credit.
Cancellation / Change-of-Mind Fee: 10% of the order total
Cancellation or modification may be limited or unavailable once an order has already been packed or entered fulfillment processing.
Our standard shipping method is UPS/FedEx Next Day Air. In some cases, Next Day Air may not be available for your delivery address, during high-volume or holiday periods, or due to carrier restrictions — if this occurs, an additional shipping fee of $35 may apply, even during free shipping promotions.
